Brief 5 - Development

As I intend on creating 3 publications, each focusing on a different aspect of food, I thought it would be useful to give each of them a sense of identity. The project is derived from a type brief so I believed it to be fitting to express this solely through type — I thought about conveying each (Appearance, colour and texture) through weights and styles of the chosen font, Avenir.

Appearance —
Avenir LT STD 95 Black
I needed the weight to create as much visual impact as possible, hence the heavy style.

Colour —

Avenir LT STD 45 Book

This needed to be minimal in form to allow the colour of the publication to "do the talking"

Texture —

The oblique styling adds a varied twist to the norm, showcasing a different 'texture' (style)
