I started to look at various formats to use for my exhibition guides — focusing on the idea of discovery. I looked at several standard formats but I wanted to avoid this in order to engage and entice a visitor into reading the guide. One idea I had was to die cut the logo on the front of the cover to reveal an image underneath — most likely one of the images used in the poster designs (the black card will be the image).
Max suggested in the crit that I could manipulate the cover in a different way and having a vertical cut out on the right hand side to again, reveal an image underneath. This correlates with the poster designs as I had the subject peeking slightly into the right hand side of the frame. I also looked at a more standard, vertical format.
