We came up with the following questions to put to the group about or project.
1. Is our design direction appropriate to the target audience?
2. Does the box work better portrait or landscape?
3. Does it solve the problem of the mis-matched branding?
Our Feedback was:
Problem Analysis
- The problems have been thought out well...conveying the tone of voice of Graze. Nailing down the target audience will be hard with box restrictions, push it as far as you can.
- Would it suit the target audience.
- Branding needs to be more consistent.
- Booklet should have positives of Graze specific food, the benefits.
Conceptual Development
- Solid range of development, stripping back Graze branding would be the right approach, clean design and approach to colours.
- Industrial could result in the right ideology for the company.
- Broad range of research done.
-Really like the icons and the idea of simplifying the branding.
- Ask target audience what they want from the box, find out what they want to know most of all.
- Calorie value, fat, price ect, needs to be communicated on the box.
Design Proposal
- Thinking about costing is a good approach, companies always need to lower their overheads.
- Changing box ratio might give a fresh perspective.
- Simplify the approach will appeal to the average man, less innocent smoothie, more healthy, high end.
Action Plan
- Begin to make icons, then see how far we can strip them back before they are unrecognisable, this will give us the most simplistic forms to work with.
- Look at a marketing campaign, see what we can come up with.
- Begin to look at how we can apply our branding to the contents of the box, how will it work and how can we keep the branding consistent.
- Look into colour, only using a limited colour range to drive costs down, this needs to be decided on early on so we can move forward with the project.
