Good is...? Packaging - Digital development

CD1

From my initial design ideas, I decided to use the 'half empty/half full' tab concept. I originally had the reversed logo on a dark background but instead chose the circular logo as the latter seemed to reference 'optimism' more effectively. I chose the green due to its positive associations and used this colour for the inside of the packaging. The word 'optimism' on the inside of the packaging is only half revealed when the tab is opened - the full word is shown when it is fully opened.

Envelope

The envelope was the most difficult (as I already had a concept for the bottle packaging) therefore the end result is not as I hoped. My original concept was to have a full glass when closed and an empty glass when opened but couldn't figure out an effective way to achieve this. I looked at simply having the half glass imagery in the centre of the envelope with the middle section cut away - the parts that were removed would need to be added on the inside of the packaging (something which proved pretty difficult to do).

Bottle

As I wanted to 'package' nostalgia/optimism as a medicine, I wanted to use typical medicinal packaging conventions such as dosage instructions, warnings etc. I experimented with my chosen colour scheme and looked at various logo placements. I eventually decided upon the final design, using the word 'optimism' itself to wrap around the bottle so only the upper half can be seen when the packaging is viewed from the front (referencing the 'glass half full' concept).
