Speaking from Experience - Questionnaire

I asked the following questions to people on the course and these are the answers I received.

1) Did you know of any traditional printing methods prior to starting this course? If so, which?
2) Did you know of all the facilities on offer at the college when you started the course? e.g. Screen-printing, letterpress, digital print etc. If not, do you now? 
3) What facilities have you used/will use again? 
4) Would you have liked more information regarding these upon starting the course?

1) Only very basic knowledge, i knew they exited but didnt know how to do them
2) yeah i knew the college did them thats why i came here
3) i use screen print all the time nealy once a week, and woodblock occasionally
4) yeah i would have, maybe some samples or whatever, its a good selling point

1) not really, people would talk about screen printing and i would be like what is this screen printing D;
2) I knew mostly about digital print but not really anything else. now im pretty confident cause we've had inductions.
3) screen printing is probably my favourite, cause i've not really used anything else. 4) yeah I think i would have wanted the inductions sooner or maybe at least more info about them

3) only used them in inductions but would like to screen print soon
4) yes but we had so much going on I dont know when we would have done it!

1) screenprinting, monoprinting collograph but i had only done monoprinting
2) yes but i already came here, before that i didnt really know how awesome the facilities are
3) i've used the vernon street print room during the elective but i really need to do some more screenprinting
4) yes, knowing the prices and how to use everything and approach the staff would have been nice

1) yes - screen mono collograph lino etc etc,
2) yes but was unsure about introductions etc for the first term.
3) i know how to use it now, ive used screen printing so far
4) yeah a bit more information would have been extremely helpful.

1) I new of digital screen and letterpress. also linocut printing
2) i did know because i went to an open day and had a second tour during my interview day
3) digital print. i want to do more screen printing but i never get round to it
4) i think the course is set out really well so that you learn new things all the time during the 1st year but it would be nice to be able to go and use all the facilities to answer all the briefs

2) yes from the open days
3) i have used them all cos i did print elective
4) yes more info would defo help

1) I only knew a few because i came from A levels, only lino and collograph.
2)  I didn't realise there was such facilities til the induction and printing elective
3) i do find myself using screen printing a fair bit since having the inductions.
4) I think it would be brilliant to know about the facilities in depth, before having to find out later on...

4) wish we could have used letter press earlier

2) no not all of them but majority.
3) screenprint, letterpress, basically the printing room.
4 ) would of been nice to know that we needed inductions on them all and to get them out the way straight away, like a day or week dedicated to getting them done.
