Aswell as producing a book based on my own six degrees of separation, I wanted to create a card/form for people to fill in for themselves. This could form a part of the book itself or as an additional deliverable. I used the same logo used throughout along with a brief description, suggesting they ask as many people as possible to discover whether they have any famous connections.

What is a Line? - Development
Following on from the initial experimentation, I chose Gill Sans (in different weightings) along with Helvetica Neue for the text to keep the designs consistent and corporate. Using an extremely basic prototype, I found that using 17 of my initial connections would be the most beneficial as it would only take up 5 sheets therefore should be thin enough to staple bind.
I bought the following print handbook as it seemed a bargain at 3 quid. The size was perfect for my intended outcome due to the small size (but large enough to fit enough content) therefore I decided to replicate the size exactly (120mm x 180mm).
Front cover consisting of a dark grey (90% black) using the grey on white logo, aligned in the centre:
This is the inside page consisting of the logo and a brief description of the six degrees theory so people can easily gain an insight into the basis of the project.

What is a Line? - Map whereabouts
Rather than simply having text showing my connection from one person to another, I looked at having a map alongside to briefly show the distances in which the six degrees travelled. However, just like the one below, a lot of the people featured in the connection were based in the same area therefore it was hard to depict the aforementioned distance. However, I experimented with different outcomes to see which was most effective.

What is a Line? - Logos/identity
I wanted to devise an identity/logo to be featured on all deliverables so the designs were consistent and were evidently part of the same project. I looked at text based and imagery based logos but eventually decided on the two most effective designs.
Chosen text logo at 90% black on white.
The text logo composed in 3 different ways:
Revised logo, an 's' is more defined

What is a Line? - Developing ideas
I found the following design as part of my research and as I liked the colour scheme, decided to incorporate this into my designs. I used my initial primary research to form the basis of my designs - showing the connection from me to another and so on until it reached the 'celebrity'. I experimented with colour, scale and type but later decided on a more minimalist approach as evident in future posts.
