I've gone home this weekend to take some photographs of Woodside on site. I also collected some photographs off my brother in law of their past projects which I can edit and include within the publication and website design. I took a range of images experimenting with depth of field and shutter speed to try and achieve photographs inspired by the ones I collated here.
These are some large scale previews. I will go on to edit my favourite / the most effective to get them up to scratch for the final publication. I tried to focus primarily on materials and tools to promote their tactile and bespoke approach.
This is the html and css coding we created for our initial test page in the last session. We divided the site into several sections - wrapper, navigation and logo. We added our logo using the background image element in the css and added background colours to the individual divs to see how the site was formed.

Creating a template
You are able to create a template structure if all of the elements will be viewed on every page. Now we have inputted the logo and navigation (and require this on all pages of our portfolio) we can create a template by going to File > Save As Template. You can then add more pages using this template by going to File > New > Page As Template.
Today we had the first crit of the project, allowing us to present out initial concept to 5 others. I presented my idea and received some really constructive feedback - looking forward to designing now. I realised my concept needs clarification and so do my deliverables - will it be primarily print based?
Required for the crit next week:
Design sheets - design direction / initial ideas and sketches
Refined brief & rationale - Clarification and direction
Finalised product range - Exploration, what will you produce and propose
Specification - Print processes, format, scale, finishes, physical samples
Physical mocks ups - what works/doesn't, opportunity to explore range in more depth
Contextualisation / distribution - How will it reach your audience? What shop / location etc
Research (primary and secondary) - Facts, opinions, quotes (be specific!)
Content - Photographic imagery, text/body copy, contact details, product list and so on
